I love hotels.
The atmosphere, the comforts they provide, the predictability of the drama, and most of all, the staff. Their efforts, their struggles, their sacrifice, and the bond that often exists between employees.
After more then 20 years in the industry, I consider hotels to be ‘my’ environment, the one where no matter where I am around the world, I will feel immediately at home.
For the managers, HR and Learning professionals in hotels, I have the highest expectations of them. This expectation revolves around leaving a positive footprint for the ones that serve them – their employees.
This site therefore is a series of blogs dedicated to sharing my views and experiences on life in the hotel industry; Human Resources; and in particular, the role of Learning & Development, in what is for me, the best industry that there is.
